I’ve been making these screen printed books for a little while now with more than a little help from my friend at Synthetic Sunshine, Pat Callahan. Truth be told, I’d never have taken squeegee to screen had Callahan not pushed me into it.

The other day, we looked at a few of the “test prints” we’d collected over the last couple years of printing. Before starting a new job, we’ll throw one of our “test prints” under the screen to make sure the image is transferring correctly. The result is several unique prints that represent the various projects we’ve worked on.

Over the next week or so, I’m going to show a few of my favorite.

This is beautiful! For some reason when I screenprinted I never did that, I think I’d use some newsprint or something and then just toss it.
